Laura Barkman I was born and raised in British Columbia, and for the last 21 years, along with my husband and two daughters have been living, working, and enjoying the Whistler lifestyle. I guess you could call us Whistler Locals by now! The majority of my Whistler career has been with tourism related businesses, most notably Tourism Whistler. In 2000 I became the assistant to the Broker/Owner of Re/Max before embarking on my own sales agent career in 2001. Since then I have helped many clients make that lifestyle decision to buy or sell property in Whistler. With my husband being one of the busier builders/renovators in Whistler, my knowledge of the real estate industry is nicely supplemented by my knowledge of the building industry as well. After building two homes in the Interior of B.C. (Kamloops) and renovating our homes here in Whistler there is nothing like hands on experience! Understanding and listening to your clients needs is the real key to finding the right match of property to client and it can take some time, but and the end of the day it is so great to see my clients along with their friends and family enjoying what Whistler has to offer and loving it as much as I do!
