Dave has been working and living in Whistler for the past 21 years, with his wife Fiona, where they have raised their four children, Conor, Lucy, Nicola and Meg. Dave moved to Whistler because of his love of the character and the “characters”, in the community, and his enthusiasm for the mountains and skiing. He and his wife wanted to raise their family in this beautiful mountain town where they could share their passion for the mountains. Whistler is a great place to raise a family. His love of the mountains, having fun, and working with people drew him to Real Estate and he would be excited to be of service to you for all your Real Estate needs! His areas of expertise are Residential, Strata and Revenue Properties.

Dave has over 25 years experience in sales and marketing, working as an entrepreneur in the Surf, Snow and Yoga industries, and building vertically integrated Brands. His most recent creation was Früv Freedomwear, where Dave acted as CEO. Früv was a multi location brand of Yogawear, designed and made in Canada, using Eco friendly materials and design. Dave’s company, Halliwell Marketing, represented Westbeach, Billabong, Northwave Snowboard Boots, Volkl Skis, Tecnica Ski Boots, Nevica Skiwear, amongst others. He has served on the Advisory Boards of Lululemon and My Pakage and on the Board of Directors of Westbeach Sports. Dave has extensive knowledge of the Whistler area and has been a property owner here since 1989, owning revenue property as well as his family home in Tapley’s Farm.

Dave is active in the community and has been a leader for Cubs and Boy Scouts, a Coach on numerous sports teams, worked as a Director with both the Whistler Blackcomb Freestyle Club and the Whistler Gymnastics Club. Additionally he was Chairman of the Oros Committee, which was responsible for the creation and funding of the Whistler Gymnastics Facility. He is currently involved with Zero Ceiling in Whistler, an organization that provides employment and adventure-based learning programs, for at risk youth and young adults, in order to support them in developing life skills and achieve personal growth. Dave is active on the Communications team at Zero Ceiling; it’s an opportunity to give back and make a difference.
