Whistler has been my home for the past 31 years. I moved from the Interior of
B.C. with my husband and 2 pre-school age daughters and have never looked
back. For the past 18 years I have been managing expectations of both Buyers
and Sellers with their Whistler property needs. While it can be challenging, it is
also one of the most rewarding careers I’ve had.
I have seen a lot of changes in the past 30+ years, but what hasn’t changed for
me is the feeling of community. Combine that with our international guests,
owners, events, the resort lifestyle, and the overwhelming natural beauty of
living here, I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else.
More importantly I love connecting Buyers and Sellers to realize their dream of
owning or selling a piece of paradise. It can be a complex process but I strive to
make it as seamless and as uncomplicated as possible, a win/win for both. Over
the years I have developed a skill set in both negotiating and listening.
My clients are my #1 priority.

We live in Seattle and were interested in investing in a vacation home in Whistler. We discovered Laura Barkman on the internet. Her website was nice-looking and very up to date. But, what impressed us the most was her quick response and follow-up to our questions. She even initiated communication with us after not hearing from us for a while.
